Malia

Malia grew up in Santa Maria, California with her parents, older brother, and younger sister. She enjoyed playing sports, exploring with friends, and her Dad's BBQ.

She attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for college and majored in Mechanical Engineering. While there she was president of the Society of Women Engineers, the largest college SWE section in the nation.

After college, Malia worked for Northrop Grumman and then Lockheed Martin, doing thermal engineering for neat space-based stuff. In her free time, Malia sews, knits, hosts awesome parties, and is an avid Dodgers fan.

Jacob

Jacob grew up in Anchorage, Alaska with his parents and younger brother. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and computers.

He majored in Computer Science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. While at Cal Poly he worked on the Polysat satellite, which successfully launched in 2007.

After college, Jacob worked for Apple on the software for the iPhone. He likes to cook and play video games in his free time.

Together

Jacob and Malia met in college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. After college, Malia moved to Los Angeles and Jacob moved to San Francisco. They made many trips between the two cities to visit each other. Eventually, Malia got a job with Lockheed Martin and moved to the San Francisco bay area.

Jacob and Malia love traveling, Totoro, Catbug, and space. Malia is the best at space.

Travel Information

Getting There

There are three airports near the wedding:
SFO is the closest, and is just a couple minutes north of the CuriOdyssey.
SJC is just south of where we live in Sunnyvale and about a 35 minute drive to the wedding venue.
OAK is just across the bay from the wedding venue and also about a 35 minute drive.

We are hoping to have shuttles between the hotels and the CuriOdyssey. More information to come...
